With nearly 20 years of experience as a nurse, I’ve had the honor of caring for people through some of the most vulnerable and meaningful moments of their lives. My passion for compassionate, dignified care began early in my career—but it deepened profoundly as I walked alongside my own grandmother, “Nana,” during her final chapter while she bravely battled Parkinson’s disease. It was through caring for her that I realized the true power and necessity of advocacy. Watching her navigate a complex healthcare system, I saw firsthand how easy it was for the elderly to be overlooked or misunderstood. That experience became the heartbeat behind Nana Not Forgotten—a mission rooted in love, respect, and the belief that every senior deserves to be heard, honored, and fiercely protected.
Today, I bring clinical insight, deep compassion, and personal conviction into every interaction, helping families find peace of mind and ensuring that no senior ever feels like a burden or an afterthought.
After 13 years in Asia working in corporate TV and advertising, it’s nice to be back home in the Detroit area for the important moments with friends and family. One of those was recently helping my mom Joanna transition to a senior living community after 50 years in my childhood home, and then back home where I'm now living with her as her primary caregiver. My NNF partner Kelleigh was the one who graciously welcomed Mom into the senior home that she was running. Caring for my mom with my sisters has shown me the challenges in charting senior care, and made me an expert on the family journey. From different perspectives, Kelleigh and I are first hand witnesses to how much help is needed. Looking back on all the time spent finding answers, and the uncertainty around big decisions we had to make, I wish we had an NNF guide to steer us through these tough times. Kelleigh and I started Nana Not Forgotten to be that guide and help fill the care gaps. I'm bringing my background in understanding TV audiences to help track progress, develop a trusted vendor network, and use technology to improve care. With this new approach, we hope to ensure no senior is ever forgotten.
